The Supreme Court done did it again, folks! They said “nah” to the Trump administration’s plea to speed up the deportation of Venezuelans using some ancient law from the 18th century. Like, who even knew that law was still a thing, right?
So, a bunch of lawyers were all like, “Hey, Supreme Court, these Venezuelan dudes are being called gang members and the government wants to kick them out real quick. Can you help us out here?” And the justices were like, “Hold up, we already stopped the deportations last month. What’s the rush, guys?”
But then, Justices Alito and Thomas were all, “Nah, we disagree.” And so the saga continues, with Trump trying to deport these Venezuelan gang members under the guise of national security.
It’s like a rollercoaster of legal battles, with federal judges saying Trump is using the law in a shady way, but then another judge in Pennsylvania gives the green light. And then the Supreme Court is all, “You gotta give these people time to fight their deportations, like at least 21 days, not just 12 hours. Come on now.” So yeah, it’s a whole mess out there in the legal world.
