The sunny skies will mark this Saturday, April 8, in which temperatures will also rise in a large part of the Peninsula, especially in the southern third of the peninsula, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
Specifically, the minimum and maximum temperatures will rise on the Peninsula, except in the extreme northeast of the peninsula, where the daytime temperatures will drop, with the greatest ascents in the southern third of the peninsula, reaching 30ºC in points of the Guadalquivir valley.
These temperatures will be clearly higher than normal for this time of year and only on the Mediterranean coast will the maximum temperature values be similar to normal. In addition, the frosts will be weak and will be restricted to the Pyrenees and the Iberian System.
This Saturday the skies are also expected to remain slightly cloudy or clear in the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, with intervals of high clouds in the northern half of the peninsula, while intervals of low morning clouds are expected on the coasts of Catalonia and Valencia, an area of the Strait and Melilla.
Some diurnal cloudiness is also forecast in the Catalan Pyrenees and south of the Iberian system, where there is the possibility of a weak and isolated shower in the afternoon. In the Canary Islands, cloudy intervals, with the probability of some light showers on the higher relief islands.
Likewise, it is not ruled out that some haze will reach the eastern islands of the Canary archipelago and it is likely that morning mists or fog banks will form in the eastern Cantabrian Sea, areas of the Pyrenees and on the coasts of the Valencian community and Catalonia, as well as in Melilla.
In addition, this Saturday an easterly wind is expected on the Cantabrian coast and on the Andalusian coast, with intervals of strong Levante in the Strait at dawn, while the variable wind will predominate, generally weak, in the rest. Thus, the only alert for the day will be yellow due to coastal phenomena in Cádiz.
Already on Sunday, it is very likely that the stable weather will continue, with slightly cloudy skies with intervals of high clouds in the northern half of the peninsula and cloudiness of evolution in mountain areas, not ruling out weak rainfall in the eastern third of the peninsula, as specified by this Friday the AEMET in its special prediction for Easter.
This Sunday, daytime temperatures will rise in much of the Peninsula, except in western Galicia where the west wind will cause a slight drop. Also, it is probable that they will descend in the southeast of the peninsula, while the wind will remain from the east in the area of the Strait and Alborán, and variable loose in the rest.
Likewise, in the Canary Islands an increase in instability is expected with rainfall that will affect the mountainous islands, to a greater extent the western ones. A tendency to rise in temperatures is also expected and the northeast wind intensifies in the Archipelago.
For next Monday, April 10, the AEMET warns that there is a little more uncertainty, although the day would be quite similar to Sunday, with even higher temperatures in the southeast half of the peninsula and in the Balearic Islands.
However, it is likely that the main difference is in Galicia and the Cantabrian area, where an inactive cold front could leave light rain and, above all, a marked drop in daytime temperatures.
In the Canary Islands, instability will continue in the western islands for the first half of the day and there will probably be a clearer increase in temperatures, especially the maximum. This is associated with the probable entry, at low levels, of a warm air mass from Africa, which would be accompanied by haze.
