In this report in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia we portray the summer in Torre Lluvià de Manresa, in Bages, during a musical tribute concert to a famous group. The garden is fresh, spacious and with beautiful views of Montserrat and the surrounding area.

Torre Lluvià or Villa Emilia is an old modernist summer house with historicist elements that is located in the middle of Manresa’s Green Ring, forming part of the Riera de Rajadell itinerary.

For yet another year, outside the Torre Lluvià in Manresa, the Voilà en Lluvià is celebrated in summer, a proposal, born in 2021, that combines “a great line-up of live performances, gastronomy, activities and many nights in the open air under the little lights in a privileged environment”, according to the organization.

The activities are held until August 24, from Thursday to Sunday, from 7 pm, with a whole program of summer concerts.

The design of the Torre Lluvià was entrusted to the Manresa architect Ignasi Oms i Ponsa, who directed its works in 1896. The main building is a manor house of a residential-rural nature, surrounded by fields of crops and small woods. It has a square floor plan and is made up of three bodies: the central one three stories high and with an octagonal tower and the two sides, attached to the main one, which are two stories high.

The building maintained its agricultural and recreational activity until the middle of the last century. From then on, the farm changed owners on a recurring basis. The Manresa City Council acquired the tower at the beginning of 2012, in an almost dilapidated state. During 2014 and 2015 restoration works were carried out so that it could be a tourist point and interpretation center of the Anella Verda de Manresa.

Among the musical offer of the summer are the tribute concerts, which are events in which famous artists or bands are paid tribute by interpreting their songs and reproducing their musical style. They usually capture the essence and sound of the original groups, from the costumes to the staging and the attitude of the musicians.

These tribute concerts are a way to keep alive the music of artists and bands that have left their mark on music history. They are an opportunity to relive the classics and enjoy a unique musical experience. In addition, they are usually carried out in outdoor spaces.
