The Fire Department of the Generalitat is working on a vegetation fire that has already stabilized in Brunyola and Sant Martí Sapresa, in the region of Selva, in Girona.

The fire broke out at 06:58 in the Granges de la Bruguera area.

Nine ground crews of the corps have initially traveled to the site.

The flames, of low intensity, spread along the bottom of a ravine and have affected the undergrowth.

In Girona, the firemen are also working today on the fire of an industrial building in Sant Antoni de Calonge (Baix Empordà).

The fire broke out at 01:56 hours and initially twelve crews moved to the point.

Sources from the force explained that the virulence of the flames and the strong wind caused fear for about fifteen adjacent premises.

The emergency services have focused their efforts on containing the flames and defending the rest of the adjacent spaces. At half past four, the Firefighters were able to verify that the neighboring warehouses had only been affected by the smoke. At seven in the morning, the fire was considered under control.

This Thursday, members of the Collapsed Structures Group (GREC) will travel to the area to review the structure and determine if there is danger.
