Social educators who work with minors in care in the province of Lleida demand that the Government improve their working conditions, as well as the care received by the children they care for.
These are the main conclusions contained in a document drawn up last November by more than 200 demarcation professionals that was presented this Tuesday at the headquarters in Lleida of the College of Educators and Social Educators of Catalonia (CEESC) with the reason of the World Day of Social Justice.
Since 2017, the number of minors served has grown from 270 to 751. Although the number of professionals has also increased, there are now 347, social educators denounce the precariousness of the sector and the growing complexity of the profiles served.
