The Italian Jannik Sinner, winner of the Master 1000 tournament in Miami (United States), has taken over the Spanish Carlos Alcaraz as number two in the ATP rankings, which is still led by the Serbian Novak Djokovic.
The Italian settles into second place with 8,710 points, after adding 400 points in the tournament, while Alcaraz remains with 8,645 after losing 160. Djokovic, despite not playing, leads the table with 9,725 by continuing as he was.
The Russian Daniil Medvedev, who lost in the semifinals against Sinner, drops to 7,165 points but maintains fifth place ahead of the German Alexander Zverev (5,415), while the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, executioner of Alcaraz and finalist this Sunday in Miami, now ninth.
The Argentine Sebastián Báez remains in nineteenth place and the Chilean Nicolás Jarry rises to 22, while the Argentine Francisco Cerúndolo and Tomás Martín Etcheverry are also placed at 23 and 30.
Alejandro Davidovich continues as the second best Spaniard, twenty-eighth, with Roberto Carballes 64, Jaume Munar 73, Pedro Martinez 77 and Roberto Bautista
The American Danielle Collins, winner of the Miami tournament this weekend, has moved to twenty-second position in the WTA circuit rankings, which is still led by the Polish Iga Swiatek.
Collins advances 31 positions thanks to her victory in the final over the Kazakh Elena Rybakina, who remains in fourth position in the ranking after Swiatek, first with 10,835 points, the Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka (8,045) and the North American Coco Gauff (7,205).
The Greek Maria Sakkari advances two positions and is seventh, surpassing the Chinese Qinwen Zheng and the Czech Marketa Condrousova. She also improves two places on the Spanish Sara Sorribes and is fiftieth.
The Argentine Nadia Podoroska experiences one of the biggest rises, rising eleven places to be 67, and the Spanish Cristina Bucsa and Paula Badosa drop to 75 and 82. The Colombian Camila Osorio improves five and is 85.
