Shinzo Abe (Japan’s former prime Minister) has been shot while delivering a speech in western Japan.
Abe, the country’s longest serving prime minister was currently campaigning in Nara for a parliamentary elections when he was gunned from behind. He was declared dead at Nara Medical University after he arrived without any vital signs.
The suspect gunman was arrested by Nara police. He was believed to be carrying a double-barreled, handmade weapon.
