Sharon Stone is in the middle of a legal battle after being involved in a road traffic accident which resulted in significant damage claims. The complaint, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, arises from an incident that occurred last year, where Stone is alleged to have been driving recklessly.
The altercation took place on June 30, 2023 on the exit ramp of the US Route 101 freeway towards Coldwater Canyon Avenue, in Los Angeles. Amanda Godepski, the woman who filed a property damage and personal injury complaint, is seeking damages in excess of $35,000, arguing that Stone violated at least three California highway codes.
Specific codes include driving too fast for traffic conditions, making an unsafe turn and changing lanes unsafely. According to the plaintiff, these reckless actions by Stone caused his vehicle to collide with hers, causing significant property damage and personal injury.
In the lawsuit obtained by PEOPLE, Godepski details that, as a result of the incident, he suffered financial losses, including medical and hospital expenses, as well as emotional harm. He also mentions a loss of earning capacity.
Furthermore, Stone has not publicly commented on the lawsuit. However, in a recent talk at the Turkish Tea Talk space, he mentioned the process of facing personal challenges, highlighting the importance of self-perception and resilience: “We all try to face our demons, and we all act… me too “.
