The Bayern Munich dressing room has been divided, with one side openly criticizing the dismissal of Julian Nagelsmann and another breathing a sigh of relief after the dismissal of the coach. According to the Bild newspaper, up to six players from the Bavarian champion were dissatisfied with the way of directing the German, who arrived at the club at the beginning of last season.

Continuing with the information from the German newspaper, captain Manuel Neuer, now out after suffering a fractured tibia and fibula skiing, was out of step with Nagelsmann after the club dispensed with the services of Tapalovi?, his trusted goalkeeper coach. The team’s second goalkeeper, Sven Ulreich, did not agree with the coach either.

In addition to the goalkeepers, Bild also ensures that Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sané, Jamal Musiala, João Cancelo and Sadio Mané were positioned against Nagelsmann. The case of the Portuguese, who arrived at Bayern on loan in the winter market after leaving Manchester City rebounded due to disagreements with coach Pep Guardiola, is surprising.

Instead, other players did support Nagelsmann. “Personally I can say that in my relationship with Julian there was no crack. But I don’t know what happened with other players,” Leon Goretzka slipped, statements similar to those of Joshua Kimmich: “I can’t say that Nagelsmann lost the dressing room.”

The arguments of the president of the Board of Directors, Oliver Kahn, and the sports director, Hasan Salihamidzic, suggest that “the constellation between the coach and the team had stopped working” which, translated into simpler language, means that Nagelsmann I had lost the wardrobe. The dismissal came after the defeat against Bayer Leverkusen (2-1) that made the Munich team lose their lead.

Nagelsmann has been replaced by Thomas Tuchel, who was without a team after being sacked earlier in the season by Chelsea. The new Bayern coach will take a team that is second in the Bundesliga, one point behind the leader, Borussia Dortmund, and is in the Champions League quarterfinals, where they will face Manchester City.
