The Mosos d’Equadra have dismantled a marijuana plantation in a house in Lloret de Mar and have arrested seven people, between 18 and 74 years old, who were in charge of the cultivation. The police investigation remains open and more arrests are not ruled out.
The events occurred on April 10, when the Blanes investigation unit discovered a marijuana crop located in a house on Rafael Albertí street, located in an urbanization in Lloret de Mar.
Inside the property they found two men and a woman who were arrested. While the agents were in the house making the arrest, four more people arrived at the property and were also detained.
Inside the house, the agents found 969 marijuana plants, 53 kilos of marijuana buds, 15,595 euros in cash as well as two extendable fenders and an electric fender. They also found a short firearm, a detonating weapon, both with ammunition.
The agents also seized 78 lamps, 30 transformers, 22 fans, six extractors, six air conditioners, among other devices used for growing plants.
The police defrauded the electricity company of nearly 21,000 euros with the illegal connection to the electricity with which the plantation operated. The detainees, three of whom have criminal records, were brought to justice on April 12.
They are held responsible for an alleged crime against public health and a crime of electricity fraud. Three of those arrested are also accused of an alleged crime of illegal possession of weapons.
