Last night, at 6:19 p.m. 20 p.m. TUC (7:19 p.m. local time), an unusual glow in the sky could be observed from different points of the Iberian Peninsula that generated great excitement.

The SPMN-CSIC Network, coordinated by the Institute of Space Sciences (CSIC/IEEC), has compiled a compilation of images and videos from different observatories on the peninsula.

According to the French Department of Defense, it was a ballistic missile test that, when disintegrated, produced a spectacular expanding cloud. In these video images for La Vanguardia Readers’ Photos you can see what it looked like from Sant Fost de Campsentelles, in the Vallès Oriental.

The DGA carried out a test of an M51 missile without military load from its launch site in Biscarrosse, located in the Landes department, in the New Aquitaine region.

When it disintegrated, it produced a cloud resulting from the expansion of the fuel remaining after its disintegration, which could be observed from various points in Europe.
