The image of the day in the Congress of Deputies has been the scare experienced by the Minister of Agriculture, Luis Planas, who suffered “vertigo” during his speech in the control session held this Wednesday in the Lower House
Planas was answering a question from PP deputy Javier de Andrés about the complaints of the primary sector when he had to interrupt his words after feeling unwell. Specifically because of “vertigo”, as he himself explained to the president of Congress. “He is simply vertigo, yes, for sure,” the minister repeated in response to the interest of Francina Armengol, and other deputies, in his condition.
The minister quickly left the chamber accompanied by the vice president María Jesús Montero and, after recovering in one of the rooms adjacent to the chamber, he spoke to the press confirming that he was “fine” and that his illness was due to the “overactivity” of these days. An extensive agenda conditioned, in part, by agricultural mobilizations and contacts with communities and the sector with a view to the meeting of the Council of Ministers in Brussels next Monday.
