The City Council of Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelonès Nord) has approved making available to the Department of Education of the Generalitat the land for the expansion of the Lluis Millet School Institute.

With the approval, the City Council gives new impetus to the improvement of the Lluis Millet School Institute, located in the Les Oliveres neighborhood, which can be expanded after the municipal plenary session has approved the transfer of the land to the Generalitat, which is who has the powers to carry out the adaptation work of this institute-school.

The City Council has also made a budgetary reserve of half a million euros to contribute to the works for these new spaces and uses in the center. Now a period of time opens waiting for a response from the Department of Education.

The mayor, Núria Parlon, in an interview with La Vanguardia, has already demanded from the Generalitat “co-responsibilities beyond the campaign leaders” so she hopes to reach an agreement to start the works and is still waiting to sign the agreement.
