The City Council of Santa Coloma de Gramenet (North Barcelona) has started the selection process to incorporate 18 new agents in the Local Police. With this, the City Council reaffirms its commitment to increase the police force.
With the incorporation of 18 agents in 2019, 13 in 2021 and the 12 that joined in September, plus the 18 officers of the new process of this 2022, the commitment of the Municipal Action Plan (PAM) 2019-2023 to reach a staff of 140 officials assigned to the Local Police of Santa Coloma de Gramenet.
The tests for the 18 seats have summoned 1,061 applicants who were examined in the pavilion of La Bastida and on the slopes of Prat de la Riba. The opposition phase consisted of five mandatory and eliminatory tests in Catalan, cultural, theoretical, physical aptitude, psychotechnical and medical tests. Those who pass the tests will go through the training phase at the Public Security Institute of Catalonia, in Mollet del Vallès, between January and June. Starting in September, they will undergo a 12-month internship phase.
