Report missing of Seventh Haitian Delegate to Florida Special Olympics

Officials said that a seventh member of Haiti’s delegation has disappeared from the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games, Florida, just four days after six other delegates vanished.

Louis Jacques Wilguens (25), was last seen getting off a bus at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, Lake Buena Vista near Orlando on Saturday, around 4:30 p.m., according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the sheriff’s office, he was supposed to fly to Haiti Sunday morning but he hasn’t been seen since getting off of the bus.

According to officials, Wilguens was last seen in red sandals and blue jeans. He also wore a white Special Olympics shirt with the word “Haiti” on it.

Wilguens’ contact should be verified by anyone who makes contact with him, according to the sheriff’s office.

Six Haitian delegate disappeared from the games’ venue at Kissimmee on Tuesday. The event was held on Disney World’s property near Orlando.

According to a missing persons bulletin, “All of them gave their room keys and left behind their personal belongings.”

According to the sheriff’s office, the six were last seen at games’ venue on June 6th around 2:30 p.m. The organizers of the games suggested that the status of missing persons could be used to speed their safe return.

Officials from Sheriff’s said that all six were expected to take part in the soccer competition. Organisers stated that one of them is an athlete, while five other Haitians are participating in the games’ soccer competition.

Organisers claimed that the athlete suffers from an intellectual disability.

Sheriff’s officials identified the missing as Antione Joseph Mitchell, 32; Nicholson Fontilus 20; Peter Mianovich Berlus 19; Anderson Petit-Frere 18; Steevenson Jacquet 24; and Oriol Jean 18.

In a statement, organizers stated that they are not aware of the reason for their departure. “Our foremost concern is the well-being and security of these delegate.”
