Arda Güler, an 18-year-old Turkish international midfielder, has signed a contract with Real Madrid for the next six seasons, until June 30, 2029, and becomes the fifth reinforcement for Carlo Ancelotti in the 2023-24 season, after the arrivals of Jude Bellingham, Fran García, Brahim Díaz and Joselu Mato.

The great teams in Europe have struggled to get the services of a young value of 18 years, who has stood out at Fenerbahçe in the last campaign. Real Madrid has prevailed and will pay around 20 million euros for Güler, who in his last season played 35 games with Fenerbahçe, scored six goals and provided six assists. As a full international in Turkey he has played four games and scored one goal.

“Real Madrid C.F. and Fenerbahçe SK have agreed on the transfer of the player Arda Güler, who will be linked to our club for the next six seasons,” the white club announced in a statement early Thursday afternoon.

Güler, a left-footed player who is 1.76 meters tall and weighs 61 kilograms, underwent a medical on Thursday morning and will be presented on Friday, July 7 at Real Madrid City starting at 12:00, after signing his contract with the president Florentine Perez. He will say his first words as a Real Madrid player at the event and after posing with his new shirt, he will appear at a press conference before the media.

Real Madrid highlights the value of its commitment to Güler, whom it describes as “one of the young footballers with the most projection in the world”, who at just 18 years of age is already a full international with Turkey and arrives “after proclaiming himself champion of the Turkish Cup with Fenerbahçe and being chosen MVP of the final”.

In addition, he became the youngest player in the history of the Turkish national team to score a goal, achieving it at 18 days and 114 days.

Born on February 25, 2005 in Ankara, Güler joined the Fenerbahçe youth academy at the age of 15 in 2019, from Genclerbirligi. He made his debut with the first team on August 19, 2021 and in the two seasons that he played in his arrival at the elite of Turkish football, he played 51 games and scored nine goals.
