The new Badalona de Quirónsalud hospital will come into operation after the summer, as announced by the health company on Wednesday.

It is a 15,000 m2 building spread over five floors that will house 35 medical specialties and seventy rooms. The facility also has an ICU and 24-hour emergency room, with plans to provide private assistance to all of Barcelonès Nord and Maresme.

QuirónSalud has invested 40 million euros in building it, and estimates that 400 health professionals will work. The territorial director of the group, German Barraqueta, stressed that it is a “state-of-the-art, digitized and environmentally sustainable” hospital.

The equipment has six operating rooms, six ICU boxes, twelve OER boxes, 36 consultations, two endoscopy rooms and a diagnostic area for imaging with CT, conventional radiology, ultrasound, mammography, densitometry and orthopantomography. The emergencies occupy 600 m2.
