The head of the Court of Instruction number 16 of Valencia, acting as guard, has decreed tonight the entry into provisional prison, communicated and without bail of the man arrested for allegedly killing a homeless man and leaving another in critical condition on the bridge of the Real, in the old bed of the Turia river.
Sources from the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV) have reported that the detainee is now being investigated in an open case, initially and without prejudice to further classification, for a crime of completed murder and a crime of attempted murder. .
The judge has agreed to recuse herself from the proceedings in favor of the city’s 14th Investigative Court, which is competent to continue the investigation, according to sources.
The event occurred early last Wednesday when the detainee, also a homeless man, allegedly killed a companion with a stone to the head and seriously injured another on the Real bridge, where they were sleeping.
The alleged aggressor turned himself in at the Ciutat Vella police station of the Local Police and reported the events to the agents, who arrested him and passed the report to the National Police, which has taken charge of the investigation.
For his part, the critically injured synthetic has not shown any change in his condition and remains hospitalized with a “reserved prognosis”, according to health sources.
