The British Royal Family has met again this Sunday, on a day marked in red on the calendar for a long time. Each year the Windsors have gathered for the traditional Easter Mass that has been held in St George’s Chapel. A religious service has been held there on the occasion of Easter Sunday. King Carlos III has reappeared with his wife, Camila. There they have been reunited with his family, with Prince William and Kate Middleton as two of the most anticipated attendees. However, the event has also been marked by absences, such as that of Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle.

This was one of the last public events scheduled before the coronation of Carlos III, which will take place on Saturday May 6, that is, in a little less than a month. This Easter Sunday mass is the first to be celebrated with Carlos III as King. The father of Enrique and Guillermo has wanted to follow in the footsteps of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who always presided over this mass at her residence located in Berkshire County. That’s why he was the first to arrive, along with a beaming Camila.

Camila chose a frock coat with blue embroidery for the occasion, the predominant tone in the clothing of the different members of the Royal Family. The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, was also very elegant in a Klein blue coat with velvet lapels, headpiece and nude pumps. Undoubtedly, both captured a lot of attention for her elegant looks.

Kate precisely reappeared with her husband, Prince William, and their three children, George, Charlotte and Louis. Last year, Prince Louis was one of the great absentees at mass, but this Sunday he was one of the protagonists for joining the religious service for the first time. The 4-year-old boy arrived holding his mother’s hand and was dressed in a jacket, tie, shorts and long socks.

And they have not been the only relatives who have been with Carlos III on this very special date. A large part of the royal family has wanted to come to the place to offer their support to the monarch. There has been no shortage of princes Eduardo, Andrés and Ana, the other three children of Isabel II, in addition to Carlos. Precisely, the presence of Prince Andrew, who had all his military titles withdrawn as a result of an accusation of sexual assault, has surprised the media.

Those who have not been present – once again – have been Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. As usual since they gave up being part of the royal family, the Dukes of Sussex have become the great absentees of a family event. In this way, the gap between them and the British royal family has once again become visible, especially since Enrique’s memoirs came to light in his book, In the Shadow. With a month to go until the coronation, it is unknown if they will return to London for the event. A spokesperson for the couple confirmed a few weeks ago that the invitation had arrived, but that the decision was not going to be made public at the moment.
