The president of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, has today visited the Josep Carreras Foundation, located in the mountain of Can Ruti de Badalona (Barcelonès North). The socialist president was interested in research into the fight against Leukemia.
Pedro Sánchez visited the facilities that have the greatest technological advances to investigate the disease, accompanied by the mayor of Badalona, ​​Ruben Guijarro and the president of the foundation, the tenor Josep Carreras.
Sánchez visited the center located in the Can Ruti Health and Research complex, accompanied by the Minister of Culture, Miquel Iceta, and toured some of the centre’s laboratories, a world benchmark in research to improve patient care affected by leukemia. Josep Carreras himself and Dr. Evarist Feliu have shown him the facilities.
Sánchez, has had time to learn first-hand about the problems that the city has suffered with cases of sexual assault and has received the mayor’s request to toughen the law for unimputable minors.
