Police release Photographs of Defendant who'Attacked' Capitol officer Daniel Hodges while he Had Been crushed in Door

“Throughout the insurrection in the United States Capitol, the defendant assaulted and utilized a very clear police defense to snare MPD Officer Daniel Hodges at a door jam,” the launch , headed Friday, states.

Two photographs of the defendant were contained in the launch, and also the police division also shared Twitter.

Hodges stood in the manner of this violent protesters as they attempted to go into the Capitol to prevent the 2020 election against being supported.

Since Hodges was trapped in the door, yelling for help, a protester attempted to tear off his gas mask and began attacking him.

“The man in front of me, that man, he had been he was almost foaming at the mouth. He was crying and only grabbed my armgrabbed my filter in my masks, began beating my head against the doorframe and ripping it off as best he can,” Hodges said. “After he got off my mask, he was able to tear my proper baton out of me and began beating me in the head .”

He explained a number of these protesters were”absolutely crazed,” and in one stage he believed he was likely to expire .

“I thought,’that may be the ending,’ or’that I couldn’t escape from this entirely undamaged,'” he stated, adding that at the end, he is proud he and his fellow officers”defended a democracy”
