New judicial setback for Pepe Navarro. The presenter will have to testify before a judge for an alleged crime of insults and slander against his ex-partner, Vanessa Martín, as exclusively published by El Español. The events for which the man from Córdoba has been reported date back to April 17, 2022, when he himself intervened live on the extinct program Viva la vida, presented by Emma García, to give his version of the events that were being discussed in dish. His intervention was most controversial and has ended in a new judicial process against him.

It was the Court of Violence against Women in Torrent (Valencia) that announced the news that the presenter is once again facing justice. That April 17, on the program was Ivonne Reyes, also Navarro’s ex-partner, with whom Pepe has been fighting for years in court over the paternity and support of their common son, Alejandro Reyes. In a live call with the program, the communicator harshly attacked her two ex-partners.

“I’m tired of the lies of these fakes called Ivonne Reyes and Vanessa Martín,” the presenter began by saying. “They are two unworthy and disgusting people. I don’t know how it is possible that they have the nerve and the face to come out and tell everything they say, when we all know what is true,” he concluded. Pepe Navarro’s words generated a great media stir and occupied a large number of headlines in the days following his reappearance on the program.

On the other hand, weeks before the events reported, the now complainant sat down on Sálvame to tell her version of the story after the presenter did the same some time ago. However, at the time the presenter decided to go live on the phone, she was not there to defend herself against her. Finally, she assured that any decision she made would be “by legal means.”

Now Vanessa and Pepe will sit in court, both to give their version of the events. Pepe Navarro will testify by videoconference from the courts of Alcobendas (Madrid), where he currently resides. Martín was the communicator’s partner for three years, at the end of the nineties. As expected, the relationship did not end well. Both had to meet in court due to a complaint she made against the presenter for assault and injuries. In 2002, Justice convicted Navarro for “repeatedly hitting Vanessa, causing multiple bruises on her cervical spine, left shoulder, right elbow, face and other parts of her body.”

In April 2022, she told what the episode was like. “He beat me up. He grabbed me by the neck to stop me, he almost choked me, he kicked me, punched me, left my face broken, and when he saw that I couldn’t breathe, he stopped,” she said. Justice ruled in her favor, and after nearly two decades of silence, she decided to give an interview to Sálvame to tell what her relationship with Pepe was really like.
