National Heritage celebrates next Thursday, October 12, National Holiday Day, with an open day in all its spaces, many of them in the Community of Madrid, except in the Royal Palace of the capital, which will remain closed to the public for the official reception of the Kings.

Visitors may request their ticket in person at no cost at the ticket offices of each Royal Site or Royal Patronage, which will open during holiday hours. In those museums that combine free visits and guided visits, free visits will only correspond to the first, as reported by National Heritage in a statement.

Thus, the public will be able to access the Royal Collections Gallery for free, until capacity is reached, which will open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tickets can be booked in advance on the website.

Furthermore, within the framework of the Hispanic Festival organized by the Community of Madrid, the new National Heritage Museum will host a flamenco show by the dancer Lucía Campillo that day with two performances, at 11:30 and 12:30.

In the Community of Madrid, the Campo del Moro viewpoint and gardens will also be open, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and the Monasterio de las Descalzas Reales and the Real Monasterio de la Encarnación, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Royal Monastery, the Royal Palace of Aranjuez and the Falúas Museum will also allow access from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., as will the Royal Palace of El Pardo, while the Pantheon of Spain will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. On this day you can also access the Royal Site of San Lorenzo de El Escorial.

In Castilla y León, National Heritage will hold the open day from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Monastery of Santa María la Real de Las Huelgas (Burgos) and at the Royal Monastery of Santa Clara (Tordesillas).

Likewise, the Royal Palace of Riofrío and the Granja de San Ildefonso will open from 10:00 to 18:00, where the fountains in the gardens will be lit in an extraordinary way, thanks to the excess water. Specifically, the public, who will be able to collect 5,000 tickets at the box office from 10:00 a.m., will be able to enjoy the spectacle of the Canastillo, Ocho Calles, Las Ranas and la Fama fountains.

The Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste, in Extremadura, and the Royal Palace of La Almudaina, both with hours from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., complete the list of National Heritage spaces open on October 12 to “invite all citizens to know the great heritage, cultural and natural wealth” that it manages.
