The duo formed by Alisa Ozhogina and Iris Tió got the bronze in the technical duet, the third of the Spanish delegation in the Fukuoka World Cup. The Spanish finished behind the Japanese duo formed by Moe Higa and Mashiro Yasunaga; and the Italian made up of Linda Cerrutti and Lucrecia Ruggiero.
This medal was a real surprise, after the Spanish finished in ninth position in the preliminary. However, with a fantastic exercise, they managed a historic comeback. The ecstasy came after the performance of the Austrians, the last participants, who gave up the medal and finished fifth.
This new bronze medal comes ten years after the last in a technical duo, the bronze that Ona Carbonell and Marga Crespí achieved in the World Cup held in Barcelona.
This bronze joins the one achieved yesterday by Iris Tió in the technical solo and the historic silver that Emma García and Dennis González added on this day, in the mixed technical duo.
