The Oques Grasses group has won two awards at the 25th edition of the Enderrock Awards, held tonight at the Girona Auditorium. After recently celebrating their decade of career at the Palau Sant Jordi, the group from Oson has been awarded both by popular vote for Best Direct, and by critics for Best Artist.

This year, for the first time, most of the awards voted for by the public and critics have gone to projects led by women, more specifically with a representation of 56%.

The Barcelona singer Julieta has also taken the stage to collect two awards for her latest album Ni llum ni lluna (Music Bus, 2022), considered by critics as the Best New Artist Record, and the Best Urban Song and Pop Album. by the public. Along with her, Mariona Escoda was also present, a new, fresh talent, discovered in the TV3 Eufòria contest awarded as Best New Artist by popular vote. These two jewels -and the Catalan pop legend- have been rewarded as this year’s great artists.

The gala, which coincided with the celebration of 30 years of Enderrock magazine, began at 9 pm with twelve scheduled performances of the premieres of the new season, including The Tyets, Miki Núñez or Stay Homas, with special attention to emerging artists.

During the act, special recognition was also made to Esquirols, a benchmark in Catalan music, commemorating the 50th anniversary of his first album, Cants al vent (Edigsa, 1973). Something similar to the singer Marina Rossell with the Enderrock d’honor Award, who for five decades has adapted Catalan poets as well as traditional songs.

As the night passed, the rest of the awards were also revealed by popular vote, awarding Els Catarres with the Best Pop-Rock Album thanks to their album Diamants (Halley Records), while in the folk category the award was reserved for Pep Gimeno Botifarra by Ja ve l’aire (Mico Entertainment).

The statuette for the best urban music album has gone to JazzWoman for their latest work Atlantis (Propaganda pel Fet!), but the one who has managed to win the trophy for Best Song has been The Tyets, the duet from Matarón that swept 2022 with his work De l’1 al què. Other hits include Lildami’s summer hit Supermercat, which won the Best Video Clip Award, and Rigoberta Bandini, voted for Best Album in a Non-Catalan Language for The Empress.

During the ceremony, the critics’ awards were also awarded, which crowned the Marala trio and the singer Rosalía with the ex-aequo award for Best Album of the Year, with the albums Jota de morir (propaganda pel Fet!), and Motomami (Sony Music), which, as is known, led the world rankings when it was released.

The composer and guitarist of the veterans Antònia Font, Joan Miquel Oliver, took the stage to receive the award for Best Artist of the Year, after his return to the musical world with his work Un minut estroboscòpica (Primavera Labels).

The award for Best Pop-Rock Album was given to singer, rocker and guitarist Xarim Aresté for Ses entranyes (RGB Supports). The award for Best Author Song Record has been awarded to Anna Andreu, one of the most suggestive voices of current author pop, thanks to her work La mida (Hidden Track Records).

On the other hand, Flashy Ice Cream, the group from Sabadell, received the award for Best Urban Music Album for Aftersun (Delirics), while the Best Folk Album went to Arnau Obiols’ latest album, Mont Cau (Segell Microscopi). .
