The second phase of the Christmas traffic operation on the occasion of the New Year’s weekend, in which just over 4.5 million trips are planned, takes place with irregular traffic at the entrances to Madrid and Barcelona and that the Management General of Traffic (DGT) has recommended taking extreme precautions and moderating speed. In a note, the DGT has recalled that since the Christmas period began, on December 22, 18 people have died in traffic accidents.
