The first envelope of these characteristics arrived at La Moncloa on Thursday, November 24, with the name of Pedro Sánchez on the addressee. It was then that the police proceedings began, which did not turn around until yesterday when another envelope arrived at the Ukrainian Embassy in Spain.
The second of them was addressed to the Ukrainian ambassador. Around 1:00 p.m., the National Police received notice that a worker had been slightly injured when he proceeded to open the suspicious envelope. The National Court opened investigation proceedings for terrorism. And it was at this point, when the agents of the National Police observed the similarities between both packages.
During the same morning, another suspicious package also arrived at the Instalaza arms company, based in the center of Zaragoza. This company manufactured the more than 1,000 grenade launchers that the Government of Spain sent to the Ukrainian army at the beginning of the war to defend against the Russian invasion. It was before 7:00 p.m. when the shipment was detected by the company and the Tedax went there to also proceed with a controlled deflagration of the device.
In the early hours of Wednesday to Thursday, the security systems of the Torrejón de Ardoz Air Base detected another suspicious envelope. This was addressed to the director of the European Union Satellite Center, located in this Madrid town. Explosives experts from the National Police also went to the area, managing to neutralize the envelope without having to deflagrate it.
