A Ukrainian attack on a residential building left one dead in Belgorod (Russia) and a total of 32 drones were intercepted, especially in the Moscow region, Russian authorities announced overnight from Friday to Saturday.
In Belgorod, a city bordering Ukraine, the attack killed one man and injured four others, Governor Viacheslav Gladkov said, adding that the city’s water supply system was also damaged.
The Russian Defense Ministry said air defense systems destroyed 13 missiles over the region. He also announced that 32 Ukrainian drones had been neutralized in total in the Bryansk, Kursk and Orel areas, north of the border with Ukraine, as well as in Moscow.
Belgorod is located 80 kilometers north of the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, which came under heavy attack by Russian forces on Friday morning according to Ukrainian authorities.
In total, at least 30 people were killed and more than 160 injured in Ukraine on Friday in a large series of attacks across the country, according to kyiv.
