The Teruel Civil Guard has deployed an operation to locate the alleged perpetrators of the death of a man and of seriously injuring two other people with a knife in the Teruel municipalities of Mas de las Matas and Castellote, in the Maestrazgo area. The details of the event are being investigated.
The events occurred during the night from this Friday to Saturday and the first notice was received after 11:30 p.m. The specific municipality in which they have occurred has yet to be determined.
The Benemérita has pointed out that both the victims and the alleged perpetrators, who are being sought, would come from Eastern Europe. The possible causes of the event have not yet been determined.
The first wounded person has appeared in the neighboring town of Castellote in Teruel, about eight and a half kilometers from Mas de las Matas, in whose health center the victims have been treated, who have arrived in a vehicle there.
This Saturday the two people with a serious prognosis were transferred to the Miguel Servet Hospital in Zaragoza from the Alcañiz health center.
The Benemérita agents have identified three people who could be involved in what happened, although efforts to locate more individuals continue, including members of the Civil Guard Underwater Activities Group (GEAS).
