The first secretary of the PSC, Salvador Illa, has been proud of the work of Núria Parlon at the head of the Mayor’s Office of Santa Coloma de Gramanet (Barcelonès Nord), consolidated as one of the greatest exponents of “useful politics” practiced by the socialists : “Núria Parlon exemplifies the great transformations that the PSC makes when it has the confidence of the citizens to govern” she stated in the act of proclamation of the socialist candidate.

During the presentation of Núria Parlon’s candidacy for re-election, at the municipality’s Sagarra Theater, Salvador Illa assured that “those who have wanted to make Santa Coloma a symbol for their electoral campaign are wrong”, because it is Núria Parlon who can “exhibit the best management, the best project, the best leadership and the best team”.

Núria Parlon also highlighted her “magnetic leadership, which leaves no one indifferent”, and that “she is demanding and goes straight to solving problems without complaints, unlike other administrations”, adding that she has done a “magnificent job” in terms of security, “claiming without complexes that it is a progressive policy”, and also in social matters, “guaranteeing that no one is left behind”.

This good work, Salvador Illa added, has not only been done in recent years, but has been done since the PSC led the municipal government: “Let’s make useful politics, without making noise and without seeking confrontation or excuses, but with dialogue , respect, agreements and solutions”. For this reason, citizens will have to think about whether they want useful politics and the usefulness of their vote, “if they want useful politics that improve their lives, work for coexistence and transform reality to guarantee more opportunities for the future.”

Núria Parlon explained that she feels “strong and eager to continue leading a transformative, community and continuity project”. “We have the bases laid and we must continue advancing.”

“We do not write letters to the wise men, but we commit ourselves and work to fulfill what we say. If the citizens want it, Santa Coloma will continue to transform and improve. This city has an unstoppable force to look to the future without forgetting where it comes from or where it is”, he added.
