The Valencian Community foresees a 7% increase in the arrival of international tourists this summer compared to 2022. This was confirmed yesterday by the advance booking data provided by the ForwardKeys tourism intelligence platform for the cluster of Innovative Companies for Tourism of the Valencian Community (Adestic).
The airlines have programmed for the months of July and August 2.4 million seats for trips to the Valencian Community from abroad, which represents an increase of 14% compared to the air capacity of the summer of last year, according to the Information provided by the Head of Market Intelligence at ForwardKeys, Juan A. Gómez García.
The main markets directly connected to the Valencian Community will be the United Kingdom with 720,040 seats, followed by Germany with 222,853 seats, Italy with 222,492 seats, France with 219,956 seats and the Netherlands with 183,071 seats.
The same report shows that the markets that grew the most in the number of confirmed reservations compared to last summer’s values ??are Norway (76%), the Czech Republic (62%), Portugal (54%), Ireland (46%), Switzerland (36%), France (21%), Austria (10%), Denmark (10%), Belgium (9%) and USA (7%).
Regarding the type of international tourism that will arrive, the data points to a trend of improvement in the socioeconomic profile of tourists and an increase in their purchasing power, since reservations for arrivals in a premium cabin grow by 16% compared to 2022.
Both for the president of Adestic, Santiago Sanus, and for Juan A. Gómez García, these data are essential to understand the dynamics and evolution of the current market and face the summer season. In addition, they ensure that they value the need and importance of new technological tools and innovations, such as Big Data or artificial intelligence, so that destinations and companies in the sector can adapt their facilities, services and personnel in the face of the main months of peak tourist influx.
“Access to accurate information and practical data has never been as important as it is now, since it offers us a perspective at the macro level of changing trends and consumer preferences, in this case of international tourists in the Valencian Community,” he stresses. Gomez.
