Nitbus lines N13 and N20 will stop on demand in Sant Boi de Llobregat for women and minors starting March 1: they will have to notify the driver in advance, who will stop in the closest and safest place, always in an urban section and at side of the sidewalk or over a pedestrian crossing.

The drop-off on demand (aimed at people in vulnerable situations) is currently operating in some section of line N13, but from March it will do so on both lines and throughout its entire route in the municipality, reports the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB). ) it’s a statement.

The AMB and the Sant Boi City Council presented this Wednesday the improvements and innovations they are incorporating into the municipality’s metropolitan bus service in an event attended by the mayor of Sant Boi, Lluïsa Moret, and the vice president of Mobility, Transport and Sustainability of the AMB, Carlos Cordón.

Some of the measures that are already in operation are the new Metropolità night bus line N20, which allows direct connection of the municipality with Barcelona; the new Metrobús line M5, which connects the municipalities located along the C-245 highway; or the increase in the frequency of line L75, from mid-2022.

Likewise, there are other improvements that are not yet in operation, such as articulated buses with more capacity, which have already been incorporated into line X79; the expansion of L77, which connects the town with the airport and will be available at the beginning of March; or the improvements to the L74 route, in April.

For Moret, the improvement of the metropolitan bus service has the objective of “responding to the daily life needs of residents, improving the mobility and connectivity of the public transport network and advancing on the path of sustainable mobility, in line with the Local Urban Agenda and the new Mandate Plan 2024-2027”.

For his part, Cordón has declared that the expansion of the offer and the improvement of mobility is due to the fact that “the Metropolità Bus service is one of the most important backbones of metropolitan mobility and has to live up to the needs of the citizens”.
