Andalusia registers two new complaints of rape this weekend. If this morning it was announced that a 17-year-old minor from Écija, in Seville, had been the victim of a sexual assault perpetrated by three individuals who have already been imprisoned, it has now emerged that an 18-year-old transsexual girl was also raped by a man in the bathrooms of a nightclub in Jerez de la Frontera, in Cádiz.

The facts have been reported by the girl to the National Police and published by the Trans Association of Andalusia -Sylvia Rivera, from where it has been requested that the case be investigated to identify and locate the author of the “brutal aggression.”

According to the young woman’s story, she was enjoying a night out at the Pandora nightclub in Jerez when she was approached by a man, who had previously been looking at her strangely while she was dancing with some friends, and who invited her to go with him. to the local bathroom. She refused, but later went to the toilet where she was followed by the attacker. At first he kissed her, something that was consensual, but when she entered the bathroom she was immobilized by the man against her will and raped repeatedly.

The young woman and her family are receiving emotional and legal support from the association.

“Given the brutal attack that this young woman has suffered, it is necessary for the victims to feel protected and supported by the institutions and that consent be put at the center; its president, Mar Cambrollé, who has requested protocols, points out in the press release. and ordinances to prevent these attacks and convert leisure spaces into areas “free of gender violence and lgtbiphobia.”
