The main novelty of this new agreement is that adherence to the program is now extended to all entities attached to the municipal structure: local autonomous bodies, public business entities, commercial companies, consortiums, foundations and associations of Barcelona City Council.
The equipment is ceded to entities of the Circuit Pangea, the collaborative platform made up of social and solidarity economy initiatives, which collect, restore and locally distribute the digital devices to the receiving entities at prices limited to the cost of reconditioning (between 40 and 120 euros). Equipment not suitable for reuse will be properly recycled.
Social interest of the groups
The recipients will have to be, primarily, social interest groups, such as cooperatives, foundations, associations and non-profit entities, as well as public or private facilities accompanied by social services, families referred by the Education Consortium, individuals or families in of vulnerability or families with dependent minors in the school period who do not have computer equipment suitable for learning.
