Nelson has turned out to be the scourge of the beaches, when the high bathing season is getting closer and closer to enjoying the sandy beaches of the Catalan coast, which in several places have suffered a notable regression. That is to say, the sea has advanced and has reduced the size of the beaches.

In this photographic report in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia we can first see how storm Nelson, with his unleashed fury, has created gigantic waves on the beach of Les Casetes de Garraf.

The water, entering the houses and leaving the beach of Les Casetes completely damaged. In a photograph you can perfectly see how the water enters the houses, trapping two people.

Storm Nelson has once again hit Gavà beach, in Baix Llobregat, where it has left a sad image, since it has lost a good part of the sand.

In fact, Gavà is one of the Catalan towns most affected, once again, by the regression of its beaches due to storms.

Other points where Nelson has made its presence felt strongly and has affected the beaches are Barcelona, ??Sitges or Calonge i Sant Antoni.
