Once the endorsement of the militancy was collected, which, with 96.11% of the votes, supported integration into Sumar ahead of the general elections on July 23, Más Madrid has detailed some aspects of the coalition agreement in which it highlights that positions 3, 4, 7 and 10 on the electoral list in the Madrid constituency will correspond to the formation led at the regional level by Mónica GarcÃa. In which number 4 stands out, which will be occupied by the leader of Más PaÃs and national deputy, Ãñigo Errejón.
“There is an agreement, with generosity and thinking about the need to win a better life for more rights for everyone. On 28J we have an appointment,” the opposition leader in the Vallecas Assembly wrote via Twitter.
The national spokesman Ãñigo Errejón has reacted shortly after with a “go ahead” and three emoticons, a smiling face, his traditional gesture of victory and a raised fist.
The name of the coalition will be Sumar and both the billboards and the rest of the campaign material will use the name Sumar. The same will happen with the acronyms in which there will be no reference to Más Madrid. Not even on the ballot whose logo will feature the face of Yolanda DÃaz.
In the campaign corresponding to Madrid, however, there will be a collegiate campaign management between the Sumar movement and Más Madrid. This autonomy has guaranteed a considerable weight in the contributions for the definition of the electoral program.
The details have been released as a result of the mandate of the Más Madrid militancy to, almost unanimously, agree on the convergence in the national project led by the second vice president of the Government, Yolanda DÃaz.
The Más Madrid candidates for Mayor and the Community, Rita Maestre and Mónica GarcÃa, have insisted that they have not put “absolutely no veto” in the formation of Sumar. “We say it and we say it again as many times as necessary. The fruit of our negotiation is to put not only our results on the table, but also the way of doing politics to broaden that progressive spectrum that we believe is essential right now in Spain”, both have asserted in recent days.
Regarding the specific weight of Más Madrid, GarcÃa has claimed that “the result on May 28 makes us the only progressive force that has been able to grow and this has to be reflected in some way.” And together with this support from the electorate, he promises to “take charge of the future that is coming for this country, take charge of the ecological transition, to rebuild the national health system, Primary Care.”
