The tension is maximum for Marc Márquez. The constant falls have caused a true psychosis in the Cervera pilot. Usually the responsibility is shared between the driver and the team and it is well known that their relationship is not going through the best moment. In this context, Márquez suffered the most absurd crash of the year after hitting Enea Bastianini while he was looking back. An improper mistake on his part that will not change anything, as it would hardly have improved from 17th position on the grid tomorrow. Marco Bezzecchi achieved pole position ahead of Bagnaia and Marini. Among the Spaniards, Aleix Espargaró will start sixth, Viñales seventh, Alex Márquez ninth and Jorge Martín, who suffered a crash in Q2, tenth.

This was the third time that Márquez had gone through Q1 this year, but his physical conditions were poor. Him with a cracked rib and a damaged finger. The objective was to avoid the last row of the starting grid at the Dutch GP.

Ahead of him, Zarco, Nakagami and Oliveira have been setting the best times. At the end of the first round, Marc was sixth, three tenths behind Oliveira (1’32” 346) who was in second place in the playoffs. There he tried to take Bastianini’s wheel, but they did not get a good time.

When everything seemed lost, both due to the pace of the bike and his physical condition, the situation worsened. On the sixth lap came the crash, the second of this Grand Prix and the 15th of the year. Bastianini was slowing down off the line and letting all the riders pass. Márquez also opened up and began to look back without realizing that he was going directly at the Italian driver.

Márquez ended up on the ground and regretting what happened. At first he complained about his rival, but later he began to assume that the mistake had also been his. Both pilots are exposed to a possible sanction.
