The Turkish firm, awarded the remodeling of Spotify Camp Nou (a project that should start next June), had already opened an office in Barcelona, ??but has now announced that it intends to make the Catalan city the base for its projects in Europe and Latin America .

The company, with more than 200 projects valued at more than 25,000 million dollars (about 23,600 million euros) in fourteen international markets and 4,619 million dollars (4,360 million euros) of turnover in 2021, hopes to develop a range of projects in Europe and Latam, in accordance with its strategic plan.

Limak, which has 40 employees in Barcelona, ??expects to reach 200 in 2026, including engineers, architects and administrative staff.

In large numbers, it numbers 46,000 workers worldwide. Until now, it has completed the construction of the longest suspension bridge in the world (1915 Çanakkale Bridge), up to two kilometers long, and has also intervened in the mammoth Istanbul Airport (absorbs 90 million passengers a year) and in the fifth highest dam in the world. world, the Yusufeli Dam, up to 275 meters high.

According to Haldun Firat Köktürk, director of the Limak office in Barcelona, ??the city “is open to the world, it is cosmopolitan and has an entrepreneurial ecosystem that attracts the most dynamic international companies every year.
