This year the posters that give life, color and protest force to the activities are the work of the Lithuanian artist Egle Zvirblyte. The creations of this illustrator are characterized by being bright and colorful, shocking and irreverent, with a strong presence of the themes of identity, transformation, human connection and the power of women. The illustrations that make up the different posters that she has designed for the city, which are also designed by Arauna Studio, show a combative Barcelona committed to defending the rights and freedoms of the LGTBI collective.
The LGTBI Pride celebration will be extended to all districts with a series of activities to celebrate and claim sexual, affective and gender diversity in streets, squares, libraries or civic centers, among other spaces. Almost a hundred activities such as concerts, guided tours, drag workshops, performing arts festivals, parties, talks, podcast recordings or documentary screenings will be part of the Neighborhood Pride program, which also includes events as deeply rooted as the Fiesta Pride of Karmel, Pride of Trini or Pride of Class in Nou Barris.
The wide range of proposals arises from the effort of the entities, associations and equipment that work day after day to defend LGTBI rights and fight against LGTBI-phobia in the community field, from proximity and participation.
One more year, different museums in the city come together again to reinterpret their collections in an LGTBI key. With exhibitions, guided tours or workshops, a look is proposed from sexual, affective and gender diversity in areas such as nature, sports or artistic creation.
For the second consecutive year, the celebration of the International LGTBI Pride Day will materialize with a great concert that will take place at night at the Moll de la Fusta.
