Laura Escanes has finished off her year in style. This Sunday, the Catalan journalist and model presented her first Campanadas on TV3, the same year in which she premiered a program on the same network. The one who started her career as an influencer did not want to go unnoticed on this high-profile television night and that is why she has decided to go to a haute couture designer for the occasion: Ze García.

As Ana Mena has also done to present the Chimes on TVE, Escanes has opted for the sensual designs of the Spanish couturier – the favorite of the most famous content creators on social networks – to say goodbye to the year shining and welcome 2024.

The Art Nouveau style, better known as the Belle Époque, inspires this design that seeks to provide a play of light with its strategic brightness. Made from tulle embroidered with rhinestones in champagne, pearl and crystal tones, the piece shines with its own light.

“The dazzling fabric is richly ornamented with a radial gradient that starts from the center of the waist and fades throughout the silhouette,” details the designer in a press release. For García, the real challenge in creating this dress is not that it is liked more or less but that “it is technically well made, that the work of the artisans can be seen, that Laura is comfortable and that it reflects her state of mind.” .

The long sleeves of the design stand out, but above all the jewel in the crown: a romantic oversized coat that plays with volumes. “The details of the coat are the yoke cut, the puffed sleeve and the maxi train, all made of taffeta and tulle, which gives it a regal, glamorous and elegant character,” adds the Ze García team.

The piece, according to Ze García, represents a break with the previous image of the influencer, who embraces an elegant and sophisticated style inspired by the characteristic movement that had its rise in the Catalan capital at the end of the 19th century and maintained craftsmanship and socialization of art. “I have known her since she was 18 years old. When Laura made her first public appearance with Risto she was wearing one of our clothes, bright blue pants and a low-cut white bodysuit. I have been to her wedding and other special moments for her and “This is another moment in which to accompany her,” explains the designer and details that this rupture that the design seeks to convey shows the evolution of the television collaborator.

“Laura is growing a lot, on a professional level she has her podcast, her television show and she is a content creator. She has managed to become known for her work and that is her new style.” A dress for her to shine with her own light, a respite, according to García, “of luxury, fresh air and elegance.”
