In The Photos of La Vanguardia Readers we can contemplate the contrast of landscapes in Vilanova de Sau, which includes the green of the spring fields, the cliffs of the mountains and the increasingly desert land of the swamp.
The Sau reservoir is the main protagonist of this municipality, however, Vilanova de Sau in its entirety is located in the Guilleries-Savassona Natural Area.
It has an area of ??8,300 hectares, which are located within the Osona region. It limits with the Collsacabra to the north, with the Plana de Vic to the east, with the buttresses of Montseny to the south and with the region of La Selva to the west.
The landscape is exceptional, surrounded by abysses and, as we see in one of the photographs, spring in this area also shines. The mists are common, mists that at the time of capturing the snapshots were soft.
In one of the photographs we can compare the green of the fields with the desert of the Sau reservoir, with the church of Sant Romà at the first light of the sun.
