La Vanguardia, as a paper newspaper or in its digital format, is positioned as the leading preferred medium for information among voters who read newspapers in Catalonia.

This is stated by the Center d’Estudis d’Opinió (CEO), which in its latest public opinion barometer points to La Vanguardia as the first option among the rest of the newspapers for voters of seven of the nine political options.

La Vanguardia is the preferred medium for voters of parties of different ideologies and positions, demonstrating its commitment to plurality. La Vanguardia, with its editions in Spanish and Catalan, is the first option for information among voters of the PSOE, ERC, Junts, En Comú Podem, the PP and Vox.

As for other ways of getting information, the RAC1 radio station is also among the top two radio options among PSC, ERC, Junts, ECP, CUP and Ciudadanos voters.

The CEO’s barometer indicates that those voters who are informed through social networks do so, for the most part, with Twitter and Facebook. While the majority of PSC, PP and Vox voters use Facebook, those of ERC, Junts, ECP and CUP prefer Twitter. The only party that its voters choose another social network for information is Ciudadanos, who use YouTube.
