It is not all bad news in the Valencian music scene after the announcements of indefinite stops by Los Chikos del Maíz, Zoo, Xavi Sarrià or El Diluvi. This Wednesday, by surprise and six years after their disappearance, the successful band La Raíz has announced their return to the stage. “We promised that we would see each other again and we are going to keep it in 2024. There is no designed idea of ??a continued reunion, but it is clear that at least we are going to get together once again to sing the songs with the public. It will be a reunion that we owe to the Band,” said its leader Pablo Sánchez in a statement.
The Gandia band, a reference in Spanish rock, has broken the silence in which it had fallen since November 2018, generating a real stir among its legions of followers in just a few hours. The band had managed to generate expectation about the possible announcement with the publication of a mysterious choppy audio that today makes sense in a short audiovisual published this Monday.
In the video, La Raíz reveals its return with a musical nod to one of its signature songs, “We will see each other again,” while a young man picks up the bottle that, according to the band, “has been stored in the pantry for six years.” .
The band, made up of eleven musicians, announces that the different nights are back with which, musically speaking, they will “set the world on fire again”, taking the lyrics of one of their most sung anthems.
La Raíz thus ends a break that for many was incomprehensible since they said goodbye at the highest point of their career, six years ago with six albums behind them and international tours that took them to perform in Argentina, Chile, Berlin, Hamburg, London, Edinburgh, Dublin, Rome, Lisbon, Porto, Poland, Mexico or Colombia.
Today the band returns to fulfill its promise after its last massive concert on November 17, 2018 before more than 20,000 people in Valencia.
