King Juan Carlos landed last Tuesday night at the Santiago airport, changing his usual destination to Vigo, since the Peinador airport. Before flying to Galicia, the King’s father made a stopover in Vitoria to visit his doctors and at the same Foronda airport he met the King who, although he had planned to land at the Hondarribia airport to travel to Hernani, where he went to the Chillida Museum, finally moved to the one in Vitoria due to bad weather conditions. Father and son greeted each other briefly and then each went on their way.
On Wednesday, at noon, King Juan Carlos, along with his host Pedro Campos and other friends, went to O Grove to enjoy a seafood platter at the D’ Berto restaurant, which he has already attended on previous visits. According to local media, diners enjoyed the restaurant’s most famous dishes, lobster and crabs, and King Juan Carlos even ordered some other dishes to take away and enjoy them at Pedro Campos’ house at night. Upon leaving the restaurant, Campos was seen carrying a bag with containers of food.
On Thursday there was also a gastronomic excursion in which King Juan Carlos exchanged products from the sea for those from the land. Together with his companions, he went to Taberna A de Lino, owned by Lino Fervenza, who in his youth was a goalkeeper for the Pontevedra Football Club, where he enjoyed the famous Moaña steak, according to Faro de Vigo.
