José Manuel Parada has been behind him for a few unfriendly weeks. The renowned television presenter lost one of his dearest friends, Carmen Sevilla, at the beginning of July. Even so, both he and his longtime companion Pablo Sebastián met again at the funeral, a moment that did not go unnoticed by the media. However, the former television pianist recently confirmed that there were no further plans for the future with him.
On this and other issues, Parada was asked by the Europa Press microphones this Wednesday morning. The one from Monforte de Lemos claimed to have momentarily believed that there was some possibility of reconciliation, before receiving a hard blow of reality. In addition, he also had words for the serial that has been occupying hours and hours of talk shows in recent weeks: Bertín Osborne and Chabeli Navarro’s interrupted pregnancy.
“I believed it at Carmen Sevilla’s funeral, giving me a hug, I received it with all the love in the world, but it seems that she prefers war instead of peace, I am not for war. Two do not quarrel if one does not want to. I don’t want to fight, I want to be happy,” Parada spoke to the media. Sebastián stressed during an intervention on the Fiesta program that he did not want to know anything about Parada after the criticism that he left him on different television sets.
The driver repeatedly made it clear that he did not want to have more problems either, he just wanted to live in peace. “I do not want even the slightest war, I am at a difficult age, I am an older man, I do not want to get along with anyone, whoever wants to get along with me, I am here to receive you with all my love,” he explained. In the same way, he detailed that he had suffered more than one estrangement with loved ones, but that at no time did he wish anyone ill.
“Whoever doesn’t want to get along with me, I will never insult them or say anything bad to them, nor will I talk about their private life, nothing at all. I am happy and I want the people around me to be happy too, I am not going to contribute to their not being happy”, insisted the television figure. Her tone changed unevenly when the Europa Press reporter asked her about Bertín Osborne. The Galician joked about the latest information received.
“Poor thing, I’m thinking of having a vasectomy so I don’t have problems,” he commented as he walked away from the journalist. He still had time to answer one last question on the matter, specifically about which one he liked best. There, Parada was more ambiguous and preferred not to give such a specific answer: “Me of the two, I don’t know Chabeli, I have a lot of affection and appreciation for Bertín.”
