Joaquín Torres is going through a deep personal and marital crisis that has led him to make the decision to move temporarily to find relief and space and try to resolve the problems he is going through with Raúl Prieto, his husband. The situation, as recently explained in And Now Sonsoles, does not imply a definitive breakup or separation, but rather an effort to heal and preserve their marriage.

During her appearance on the Antena 3 program, Torres openly shared the problems that have affected her relationship with Prieto, including the death of her mother and a family dispute over inheritance that has aggravated her stress and emotional discomfort. “We are going through a bad time as a couple. Right now I have to heal and he is incapable, he can’t give anymore,” Torres confessed, putting on the table the stress and pain that both are experiencing.

Torres’ decision to move seeks to provide him with the necessary space to focus on his well-being, clarifying that his love for Prieto remains intact, even though the circumstances are not the best.

Beatriz Cortázar and Pilar Vidal, both collaborators of the program, have commented on the situation, emphasizing that distance is a common element in the couple’s relationship, even before getting married: “They have always had those comings and goings. Joaquín is someone who demands a lot in love, they have a different character…”.

Joaquín Torres and Raúl Prieto began their relationship more than seven years ago, becoming one of the most established couples on the Spanish social scene. They both met in Sálvame: Prieto was the direct one and the architect had a section called Las Casas de Torres. The affinity between the two was immediate and they began a secret relationship.

Their love story culminated in a civil ceremony held on May 19, 2023 at the Casa de Pilatos in Seville, an event attended by family and close friends, including well-known faces such as Belén Esteban, Rocío Carrasco, Emma García, the Campos or Kiko Matamoros.

This union occurred after the couple confirmed their engagement in 2022. As revealed, Torres had proposed to her in a traditional way, kneeling and with a ring. This gesture marked the beginning of a new stage in his life, which was marked by the support and consent of his children, the result of the architect’s first marriage to Mercedes Rodríguez Parrizas.
