The Valencian singer-songwriter Joan Amèric will perform this Sunday, October 8, in one of the most fascinating spaces of the Valencian Community, the Castle of Penyíscola with his new show “Perquè sóc poble, un país enamorat”, a proposal that sings the joy of to exist as a town The concert will feature a full lineup of female and male instrumentalists who will accompany the singer-songwriter in his varied repertoire.

Considered by the specialized press, and by the great pioneers of the genre such as Lluís Llach or Maria del mar Bonet, as a reference and innovator of author songs in our language, he is the only Valencian artist to have obtained the prestigious BarnaSants International Prize. for the best concert in the official section.

In this concert, unpublished songs such as “Rosa de Mar” or “I wanted to be troubadour”, classics from his repertoire such as “Perquè soc poble” or “La gran partida” and three very personal adaptations of “M’aclame a tu” ( Ovidi Monllor/Vicent Andrés Estellés), “Yo vengo a oferer mi corazón” (by Argentinian Fito Paez) adapted to Valencian.

As the premiere in Peñíscola, the adaptation of the Brazilian song “Choro Bandido” by Chico Buarque, carefully translated into our language by the Valencian author, will be performed.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Castell de Peñíscola Artillery Park, it will be free of charge and will feature a large artistic team of musicians, musicians and technicians made up of:
