The mayor of Barcelona Jaume Collboni has visited the city’s beaches this Saturday to assess how they have been after the Revetlla de Sant Juan. According to the first reports, the beaches concentrated the festival of the festival of Sant Joan in Barcelona with 80,000 people on a night in which there were no major incidents.

“This morning the cleaning teams have started to work to get the beaches ready. I wanted to be by their side to thank them for their work,” Collboni wrote in a Twitter message accompanied by several images of him observing the state of the beaches catalanas next to the cleaning device.

During the night, 269 breathalyzer tests were carried out and 32 were positive, a couple of them criminal. During the night, there were two detainees for sexist violence. Two cases of harassment have also been reported. In a night of bonfires and firecrackers, there have been several fires, most of them in containers. The beaches were evacuated and cleaned without problems at dawn and around 9.30 they were already open to bathers.
