This Thursday, MasterChef Celebrity experienced a new expulsion and also a new historic moment for the program. And when we talk about applicants, anything can happen in terms of preparations. In fact, one of the most beloved contestants of this edition, Eduardo Casanova, ended up expelled from the night for one of the worst recreations in the history of talent.
So much so that even the judges could not do anything to save him. The presentation and the “disaster” that was before his eyes contributed to Casanova hanging up his apron after starring in iconic moments during his contest. He left in tears, but proud of having broken mainly emotional barriers.
After the outdoor test, Blanca Romero, Toñi Moreno, Laura Londoño and Eduardo Casanova were nominated and had to replicate a pastry preparation. In this case, it was a cake from Ana, a former contestant from the last edition of MasterChef.
All the women passed the test with flying colors except for Eduardo Casanova, who not only could not replicate the cake, but also its preparation was a real nonsense. “I don’t know if it’s good, but if you put my cake among a thousand others, you can recognize which one is mine,” the actor tried to justify himself when presenting his ‘Eduardo Reina’ cake before the judges of the program.
“It is absolutely imperfect. Ugly, but pink. A disaster, but it was made with love and I think it is unique and represents me,” added Casanova, who sensed what the jury’s opinion might be. To which Jordi Cruz replied: “You are wrong, because I think you are a fantastic guy, a wonderful person, and someone fun.”
However, that did not mean that the entire jury believed that they were facing a “very bad” cake. Thus, Eduardo Casanova’s cake was the worst of the night, but the actor’s kindness and ingenuity is what made him, as Pepe Rodríguez highlighted, one of the great protagonists of this edition. “Hopefully this program will help us get to know you better,” the chef continued, bringing the participant to tears.
To say goodbye, the actor, very loved by everyone and especially by the viewers, wanted to say a few words: “This program is very strong, not only do you learn to cook, but you also find yourself. I am a very happy guy, but fear is like a kind of cloak that, sometimes, hugs me. And having taken it off, it has been very good for me.”
