The exprés.cat e19 Alella-Barcelona bus line offers, from Monday, 33 expeditions in each direction on weekdays. There are four more expeditions than up to now. The new departures from Alella (Maresme) will be at 6:45 am, 8:00 am, 7:40 pm and 9:30 pm; and the new departures from Barcelona will be at 7:30 a.m., 8:45 a.m. 8:55 p.m., 10:05 p.m.
The service, on the other hand, extends the route to Vallromanes and Vilanova del Vallès (Vallès Oriental) in a total of 12 expeditions per direction on weekdays, when up to now it had done so in 10 expeditions per direction.
In this way, the bus that leaves Barcelona at 8:45 a.m. and at 6:00 p.m. will also arrive at Vallromanes and Vilanova del Vallès. In the opposite direction, the bus will also depart from Vilanova del Vallès at 7:00 p.m. and 10:05 p.m., two expeditions that until now began in Alella.
The Territory Department has incorporated these improvements as a result of the increase detected in the corridor. The e19 line carried a total of 246,385 users in 2022, 46.3% more than in 2021 and 17% more than in 2019, before the pandemic. The service is provided by the Sagalés Group.
The exprés.cat are high-performance, modern and accessible intercity buses, with high commercial speed and fewer stops. These are lines that serve the corridors with the greatest demand, with an average of 30 travelers per expedition. There are currently 42 exprés.cat lines in operation.
